Trying to take water shadow photos on a different stream I had to decrease the shutter speed to get a proper exposure. Much to my suprise, instead of water shadows, I saw water strings when I got home and looked at the photos on the computer screen. These are named after the string theory which proposes that everything is composed of strings. The drawings used to illustrate the string theory show lines that usually form an irregular circle much like what I saw on the water’s surface.
